As the year draws to a close, the staff of Quilt and Sew would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  TUCKER UNIVERSITY 2022—FRESHMAN YEAR
What is Tucker University? It is a series of workshops which walk you through the Studio 180 Design Tools. These tools, designed by Deb Tucker, will take your piecing accuracy to the next level. Each tool allows you to make basic units that are then trimmed to precise measurements. Say goodbye to chopped off points or mis-matched intersections! Your basic units will be precise, which will, in turn, make your blocks accurate, which will then make your quilt tops go together with ease.
Classes will meet on the second FULL WEEK of each month. You may choose either a Wednesday class or a Friday class each month—whichever works best for your schedule that week.
TUCKER UNIVERSITY JANUARY 2022—Tucker Trimmer tool
Explore the many units made with this one tool—half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles, combination units, and shaded four-patches. These units are the foundation of many traditional blocks and make stunning pieced borders!
When: Wednesday, January 12th OR Friday, January 14th from 10 am – 3 pm.
Instructor: Justine Burris
Fee: $20 + supplies (list given at sign-up in store)
MACHINE BASICS CLASS: You got a new machine for Christmas. Now what? It’s time to break it in!! Join Denise for a full day of fun as she walks you through the basics of your machine. Master your machine’s features so that you can tackle whatever project you desire in the upcoming year. *This class will cover basic sewing, but not embroidery functions. **Class required for those taking Quilting 101.
When: Saturday, January 15th, from 10 am – 3 pm.
Instructor: Denise Shivers

 COOKIE CUTTER CLASS: This gorgeous quilt features a rainbow gradient of color which would look great in color-coordinated or scrappy fabrics. Imagine the possibilities! Skip the icing and get cutting into feature fabrics of solids, small scale prints, blenders, or batiks to create a Cookie Cutter quilt of your own - withno Y seams! Pattern features 5 sizes from baby to king. Uses the Super Sidekick Ruler by Jaybird Quilts.
**Pre-class meeting on January 29th for pre-cutting instruction. Zoom option available. Nancy will contact you with details after you sign up!
