Wow! Where did the last two months go? I blinked, and November is nearly over! Well, the holidays are definitely upon us. As we approach the season, we here at Quilt and Sew want to say a big THANK YOU to all our valued customers—or rather, friends! We love and appreciate each and every one of you, and we hope your holidays are filled with love, laughter, and joy!

Quilt and Sew will be closed Thursday, November 28 for Thanksgiving.
We will be closed Sunday, December 22-Wednesday, December 25 for Christmas.
We will be closed Sunday, December 29-Wednesday, January 1 for New Years.
BLACK FRIDAY SPECIALS:
We certainly aren’t opening at 5:00 a.m., but if you’d like to avoid the craziness, we will have in-house specials Friday, November 29 only:

JINGLE FOR YOUR JANUARY
This was such a hit last year we are doing it again..With every purchase of at least $25 that you make starting on black Friday and thru out the month of December, you will be given a SEALED RED ENVELOPE. This envelope contains information regarding a free GIFT and COUPON. Present the unopened envelope when you return in January to redeem your GIFT and find out what your coupon is! You may only use one envelope per day in January—and it MUST be unopened!! You may begin using your red envelopes on January 2nd.
A SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS:
Mark your calendars for December 6th & 7th for Trenton’s Small Town Christmas. All the shops in town will be participating with special events, special sales, extended hours, and fun activities. You can expect great food, sales, and discounts, raffles, giveaways, vendors, music, and much more! Kids can meet and greet the Grinch, decorate their own sugar cookie, and write letters to Santa (that will be answered!)
The Parade is on Saturday at 430, Santa will be there ,followed by a chili Supper and $5 Movie Nite in the auditorium. "The Polar Express" Is Playing..
Quilt and Sew will be open until 8 pm on Friday, December 6th. We will be having special sales and discounts those days, as well. Stay tuned for more specifics next week. But trust me, you won’t want to miss out!
SNAPPY TOTES: Join Teri Solsbury on December 11th from 10-2 to learn how to make these delightful bags. These are easy, so even confident beginners can join this class! Class fee is only $10. We do ask that you use fabric purchased at the shop. You will also need a metal retractable tape measure (even a broken one is great!).
WOVEN SNOWFLAKE ORNAMENT: Teri Solsbury will be teaching this class on December 4th from 10-2. These ornaments require no sewing, so anyone can join us! These make beautiful tree decorations, but also look amazing on special presents! You will want to make LOTS of them! Class fee is $10—please use fabrics purchased at the shop.
TUCKER UNIVERSITY—LARGE SQUARE SQUARED: Saturday, December 7th, 10:30-3:30. Join Justine as you learn how to use the Large Square Squared tool from Studio 180 to construct an Economy Block and a Snail’s Trail block. As with all Studio 180 tools, you will be cutting larger and trimming to precise measurements at each step, resulting in highly precise units. This tool is also perfect for helping you to showcase embroidery blocks! Class fee is $60 and includes all tools used in the class.
**STILETTO by Basic Grey for Moda—an elegant collection of small florals and geometrics in rich, warm neutral shades.
**MEMOIRE A PARIS by Lecien—a collection of tiny floral prints on lawn, reminiscent of days gone by.
**ANTIQUE FLOWER COLLECTION IN PASTEL by Lecien—another lovely collection of florals and stripes in sweet, bright pastels, with a very nostalgic feel.
**MEMOIRS by 3 Sisters for Moda—coming soon—an elegant collection in warm, romantic shades of gold, rusts, creams, indigos, and grays that make you think of autumn days giving way to winter.
T’WAS THE LIGHTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS: A TODD COUNTY TOUR:
The 1st annual T’was the Lights Before Christmas: A Todd County Tour is set to begin December 1st across Todd County. Visitors are invited to explore Todd County by traveling our beautiful, rural countryside while enjoying Christmas lights displays all around Todd County. An online map will be available December 1st at www.ExploreToddCounty.com to provide visitors with a self-guided tour across our county. Locally, the businesses on Main Street in Trenton will be decked all out for the season. Our shop will have a beautiful display that includes a spot that would make a lovely backdrop for your holiday pictures! We hope you enjoy this new, small town tradition. You will also have an opportunity to vote for your favorite display.
MINI RETREATS IN OUR CLASSROOM
Trenton Handwork Group
We will be offering a mini-retreat each month from now until December, on a Friday-Sunday! We will meet at 10 am and sew until whenever. You will not believe how much you can get done! Come and join us for one day or for all three. Brown bag it, or plan to eat at one of Trenton's restaurants. YOU MUST CALL THE SHOP TO RESERVE A SPOT. It is in our classroom, so space is limited. It’s hot out there—come inside and sew!!! There is no fee for this retreat. Watch newsletters and Facebook for our fall dates.

Come to a new hand work group that meets monthly each first Tuesday of the month from 10am-1pm in the Trenton classroom. If you want to learn new techniques, find portable projects, and share the latest in English paper piecing, red-work, embroidery and more, this group is for you. Come join us, bring a project or idea, and bring a dish to share. Call the shop for more details 270-466-5000.
