I know the weather outside doesn’t feel like it, but fall really is around the corner! That means it will soon be time for s’mores, hot chocolate, wiener roasts, and pumpkin spice everything! And soon you will want to be snuggled up in a warm quilt when you sit on the porch with your morning coffee. So, it is time to start those quilt projects you have been putting off all summer. We are here to help you with that goal. Read on for some exciting info about upcoming classes and events.
NATIONAL JELLY ROLL DAY
Saturday, September 21st
Join us in the Quilt & Sew classroom from 10-4 for a day of friendship and frantic sewing. Bring your own jelly roll or purchase one from us. Jelly rolls are 20% off Friday and Saturday. Use the coupon attached below. Use a pattern of your own, or use one of the free patterns we will have available. Bring your own machine and basic sewing supplies. Snacks will be provided; bring your lunch or grab one from Traveler’s Lantern or Southern Legends. We will be offering giveaways throughout the day—you must be present to win.
$5 will reserve your spot for the day. Call us
at 270-466-5000. You also will have the option of donating your jelly roll quilt top to Habitat for Humanity, if you so choose. Staff members will be present to help you with your projects.

QUILTING 101—FALL SESSION
Our most popular class is being offered once again! Join Denise on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9 pm, beginning September 24th with a “learn your machine” class, and going through October 24th. During this course, you will learn the basics of quilting—from choosing coordinating fabrics, to piecing, to quilting your top. You will be making a sampler quilt, with each block featuring a basic piecing skill. Cost is $90 + supplies. Fabrics for your project must be purchased at Quilt & Sew. Call to reserve your spot today.
TUCKER UNIVERSITY—October 5, at 10:30 am. Join Justine as she teaches you the fun things you can do with the Studio 180 Split Rects Tool. This unit offers some unique design options in blocks and in borders. Cost is $60, which includes all your tools.

Coming this Sat. It is going to be a great time. Bring your family and friends. Enjoy some great classic cars and awesome bluegrass music from Backroads Bluegrass. Traveler's Lantern will be out there grilling their hickory smoked bacon cheeseburgers and pulled pork sandwiches.

MINI RETREATS IN OUR CLASSROOM
Trenton Handwork Group
We will be offering a mini-retreat each month from now until December, on a Friday-Sunday! We will meet at 10 am and sew until whenever. You will not believe how much you can get done! Come and join us for one day or for all three. Brown bag it, or plan to eat at one of Trenton's restaurants. YOU MUST CALL THE SHOP TO RESERVE A SPOT. It is in our classroom, so space is limited. It’s hot out there—come inside and sew!!! There is no fee for this retreat. Watch newsletters and Facebook for our fall dates.

Come to a new hand work group that meets monthly each first Tuesday of the month from 10am-1pm in the Trenton classroom. If you want to learn new techniques, find portable projects, and share the latest in English paper piecing, red-work, embroidery and more, this group is for you.
