AUGUST IS PINEAPPLE MONTH!!
This month, Quilt and Sew is excited to offer several PINEAPPLE THEMED TECHNIQUE CLASSES! Not only will you learn a new technique, but you will also get to enjoy pineapple desserts and even virgin Pina Coladas during class! Check out our sweet classes below!
WELCOME PINEAPPLE ON THE GRID
Join Nancy as she guides you to construct an adorable pineapple wall hanging. Learn to piece on a gridded interfacing, resulting in divine accuracy. This class will be offered twice—choose only one session. Saturday, August 10, from 9:30-4:30 OR Tuesday, August 13, from 5-9 pm. Cost is $20 + kit and
basic supplies.
INTRO TO PAPER PIECING—PINEAPPLE STYLE Lindsay is back for a visit and eager to share her love of paper piecing with you! She has designed a gorgeous pattern just for this class! This class has two sessions to better ensure that you finish the project. You will be constructing a pineapple block which will make a great pillow or super wall hanging. Tuesday, August 13, from 10-2 AND Thursday, August 15, from 10-2. Class $25, kit available
 PINEAPPLE PILLOW or TROPICAL FRUIT PINEAPPLE QUILT
Join Justine as you learn to use the Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Tool in order to make a traditional pineapple block with ease! You may make as many blocks as you wish—one for a pillow; 3-4 for a table runner; multiples for a quilt. However, in the course of the class, you will probably only finish a few blocks. Prep work required, so sign up early! Saturday, August 17, from 10-2. Cost is $15 + supplies.

National Jelly Roll Day—Saturday, September 21, 2019. We are still working on the details, but plan to come sew a jelly roll project (or two) with friends! Watch for further details in future newsletters. Reserve your sewing spot today for $5. When you show up to sew, you will receive a $5 coupon to be used that day.
Poppins Bag Class—September 14, from 10-4. $25 + supplies.
MINI RETREATS IN OUR CLASSROOM
We will be offering a mini-retreat each month from now until December, on a Friday-Sunday! We will meet at 10 am and sew until whenever. You will not believe how much you can get done! Come and join us for one day or for all three. Friday will be a brown bag lunch, and pot luck on the weekend! YOU MUST CALL THE SHOP TO RESERVE A SPOT. It is in our classroom, so space is limited. It’s hot out there—come inside and sew!!! There is no fee for this retreat. Watch newsletters and Facebook for our fall dates.

Trenton Handwork Group
Come to a new hand work group that meets monthly each First Tuesday of the month from 10a-1pm in the Trenton classroom. If you want to learn new techniques, find portable projects and share the latest in English paper piecing, red-work, embroidery and more, this group is for you.
