News from Quilt and Sew

December 14, 2018 Newsletter

It has been said that “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” However, I think that you would rather I have a sale than sing loudly! So, in the spirit of Christmas cheer, we are having a STOREWIDE SALE and a little happy promotion for when you come back in January! See the details below!

I do hope that, in all the hubbub of the season, that you take every opportunity to slow down and ENJOY yourself! The next time it snows, go outside and catch snowflakes on your tongue. Gather the grandkids into the kitchen for a Christmas cookie decorating extravaganza. Wrap up in a cozy quilt and enjoy a crackling fire in the fireplace. Watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” for the 324th time. Take the time to let your loved ones both near and far know just how much you love them. But most importantly, spend some time reflecting on the reason for the season—
God’s most precious Gift to mankind.

Lots of love,

Denise

          TUCKER UNIVERSITY

We are thrilled to offer another round of Tucker University in 2019!! If you missed out the first time around, or you had to miss a few classes, don’t miss out this time!! In this year of classes, you will learn how to use (almost) all the Studio 180 Design tools by Deb Tucker. Her tools allow you to make basic units that are commonly used in quilt blocks and borders, but you will be making them slightly oversized and trimming them down to the perfect size. Your piecing skills will improve dramatically, and your design skills will take off as you begin combining basic units into unique blocks! Each class will include the Studio 180 tool, technique sheet(s), and design sheet used in the class. Furthermore, we are pleased to offer an evening option as well as a Saturday option. Choose whichever best fits your schedule that month! The same class will be offered the first Thursday evening of the month, at 5:00 pm, and the first Saturday of the month at 10:30 am (immediately following UFO club). Classes will begin in MARCH!

Dates: FIRST THURSDAY EVENING (5:00-8:30) OR FIRST SATURDAY (10:30-3:00 with lunch break)

                Cost: $60 (Includes all tools!)
